Literature Text

Guess no one here can hear you
Over their own voices
NO ONE left to fear you
Nobody rejoices
Strangers in a CROWD
Once those we all knew
Don't like this place, too loud
But no one LISTENS to you.

Still, KEEP PLAYING
Though most only clap
In hopes that this is your LAST
SONG
Even though the music's fading
And, pretty SOON
It's just gone
PLAY ON, play on.

There's still a small group
Of us, who CHEER
Maybe even proud of you
And I can see
The SMILE
Of yours
That traveled 'cross a mile
Of SOUNDS
All to get here.

Ignore the JEERS
Don't let them stick for long
Don't HEAR the WORDS
As they cover up YOUR SONG
PLAY ON, play on
Because the music
Is NEVER really gone

play on.
For the Chinese dude who played his traditional instrument thing for us at lunch today. Even though everyone was talking so loudly that he couldn't be heard- morons- he was still playing the thing. So I wrote this as he played...
